James Farmer is an active performer in Northern Utah. With over 17 years of experience at the piano, James can be found playing with various collegiate and self-led bands in the area. James most recently completed his third recording project; a full-length album featuring his jazz quartet playing original tunes and new twists on standards titled “In The Moment.”

On the teaching front, James has been happily teaching piano students of all ages in Cache Valley for the last five years. His students perform regularly in recitals and have passed auditions to play in local school and community bands. He has adopted a teaching philosophy centered on leading students to discover and study the music they love the most.
